Ikoteas is a young company founded in 2025, but its project has been in development since 2017. For the past eight years, we have been refining the intelligent and automated assignment of workloads, which has allowed us to take the next step—creating our web app, ikPlanner, to offer this solution to a broader range of clients.

About Our Founder
Roberto Chalela is a pulmonologist at Hospital Del Mar in Barcelona, with a strong passion for technology and healthcare innovation. He holds a Master's degree in Research and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in lung cancer. In addition to his clinical and research work, he is a university professor at Pompeu Fabra University.
Over the past eight years, he has developed and refined a sophisticated system for managing on-call schedules, combining his medical expertise with a deep interest in tech solutions. This experience led to the founding of Ikoteas and the creation of ikPlanner, with the mission of improving efficiency and communication within medical teams
